TALE OF TWO SOLITUDES: 99% AND 1% … SURE

Recent events in Halifax City scream for attention in light of what has happened to those of the 99% who occupied Victoria Park in their protest of the (contrived) injustices perpetrated by the elite who own “our “ governments and proclaim their agendas.

Before I go further, I want you to focus your mind back to the (spending) excesses and centurion tactics that were exercised on the peaceful demonstrators and hapless citizens who got caught up in the Toronto travesties (G 20 rally) presided over by Herr Harper and his fellow dictators from around the world … or, at least those leaders whose histories include controlling much of the world’s economies and pretty much how (if and when) you get your daily bread.

Toronto was the ultimate “tune up” for police forces that provided “security” for that insult to human dignity and the embodiment of a one fingered salute to democracy … as we have perceived it over the past few hundred years.

That event was attended by members of the RCMP and police forces from both sides of the border and everywhere else. WHY?

Because, THEY( the 1%) knew the day was coming when the “little people”, the 99% … would catch on to how they were being exploited and abused by the 1% who own or control the wealth of this planet … and they would be pissed off royally when they realized their vote was a sham exercise … to make them believe they were in control of their “democracy”, which is really a Plutocracy, with benefits. Not as overt as the Chinese model or the old Stalinist or NAZI regimes,but just as dangerous and controlling ... in a more subtle, genteel, "lawful" manner.

Sure, the system "champions" protest, but, it must be done in a genteel manner. Typical of these duplicitous bastards! You must not offend either the ear or the eye , as the Occupiers did at the Grand Parade, or later, when they bought into Mayor Peter Kelly’s ploy about “Rememberance Day” and moved themselves to Victoria Park as a measure of good faith … which Weasel Kelly threw back at them. “Never give a sucker an even break”!

So, the Halifax contingent who attended the G-20 party came home with new skills to teach the rest of HRM’s thugs … who were hardly able to contain themselves for want of using them.

Luckily, the Occupy Movement manifested and on November 11, 2011, Obergruppenführer Kelly gave the orders and his Police Chief Beazely complied by unleashing his dogs … whose orders were to ravish and forever intimidate people who were already beaten down by poverty, homelessness,unemployment … and exploitation by a bunch of selfish, greedy and grasping bastards who call themselves “capitalists” but, are really just smart and smooth talking con artists who, wherever possible, use other people’s money and ideas to propel their lust for more money and power. MONEY=POWER+MONEY=POWER … and so on, ad infinitum. THEY will tell you it is THEIR right … or has everyone forgotten Dave Dingwall’s (Freudian ?) slip?

Read my little treatise on the HRM “police” here ( link to archive) and digest the last two paragraphs of that piece. It appears my prediction has come to fruition.

There are those ultra right, hypocritical phonies who have shilled their asses off calling all of the radio and TV call in shows lately to say how glad they are to see the occupiers “put in their place”. Some of their voices are recognized and known to be part of the elitist group that has profited most from the government graft and “loans” that permeate and proliferate the (dirty) politics in Nova Scotia … regardless of party affiliation.

The best advice I can give to the Occupiers, and, for that matter, anyone else who cares, is : learn and become knowledgeable, don’t get involved in drugs or excessive booze ( there are people who want you kept dumb and dependant … “upstanding” and powerful people who make BIG money from those ), pay attention to the world around you, and, above all, DON’T trust politicians and/or governments … they don’t give a shit about you and will do everything and anything they can to destroy you … if you complain about or shine light on their nefarious, self-serving activities.

I would question that your activities thus far will make much of a difference … immediately. Do NOT give up, and, if you have the courage of your convictions, grow your numbers, certainly. Find something that will generate wealth you can throw in a common pot. Buy land and, like the hippies in the 60’s, form communes and take care of each other. In the meantime, don’t support any existing political party,in any way. The current system is totally broken. It was set up by lawyers ( many of whom inhabit “your” governments) with an eye to favoring friends. YOU, and the others of the 99%, are NOT their friends. Build your own power blocks.

The people in the Mid East got rid of a few of their dictators by not being gentle, genteel or politically correct.

There's an annual contest at Duke University for the most appropriate definition of a contemporary term.

This year's term was, "Political Correctness".

The winner wrote:

"Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rapidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media (all part and parcel of the1%), which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a piece of shit by the clean end." Occupiers and their disciples must remember at all times they are dealing with shit … in the form of a system that favors the rich and powerful… because THEY designed it that way. Kill their system … every way you can.

While you’re at it, GOOGLE the Hell’s Angels and find out what the “1%” connotation means as it relates to their organization. You will conclude, when you give it serious thought, that there isn’t much difference between them and this “other” 1%. At least the Angels don’t hide and mask themselves in self righteous hypocrisy.

Here, in Nova Scotia, is how our 1% is making sure it continues to flourish and prosper … as they salute the other 99%.

The detractors of the “Occupiers” claim they are vague and unfocused as to what they are protesting about. And, based on some TV and radio interviews with vacuous young females who can barely string two words together in a coherent sentence … along with their male counterparts, I can see why there might be that perception. But, then, you must consider that today’s media is owned (controlled) by the 1% who really don't look for the articulate types who can present a positive face and a coherent argument. In fact, most media is owned by the same elite who hobnob with the same politicians they should be dogging for answers or reporting on. Many ex-media people are now in politics ... and when politicians get turfed out on their asses, they walk into jobs on TV and radio. Cozy,eh?

There is a myriad of things the 1% have been getting away with that can only be described as questionable … if not morally reprehensible and unethical. Wall Street (and Bay Street) money manipulators, being bailed out and pandered to by “governments”, in spite of their blatant thefts and total lack of business acumen. Taxpayer’s dollars that are demanded from YOU or literally stolen, are given to these criminals … who then reward themselves with obscene “bonuses” as governments allow infrastructure to go to hell.

In Nova Scotia, cutbacks in education and closure of hospital emergency rooms are the tip of the iceberg as your tax dollars are re-appropriated in the form of “loans” and “grants” to friends and contributors.

How many golf courses have been built with your taxes? You’ll never know, nor are you ever likely to play on them. Billions of tax dollars pumped into the former Nova Scotia Power before it was sold for pennies on the dollar as a “white elephant” to political friends … who were not long in holding us all to ransom as they demand more and bigger profits, while taking big salaries and bonuses.

You should be bloody good and mad, but you continually put up with this bullshit. Who do many of you get mad at? The young and the old(er) people who have the collective “balls” to make the protest … on YOUR behalf … because you wouldn’t say “shit” if you had a mouth full ? You think you have too much to lose. Maybe you do … and you have … to the liars and thieves who steal your taxes and give to their friends. That’s why THEY are part of the 1% while the rest of us are in that other, declining majority. These “occupiers” are protesting all of this bullshit, and then some. So cut them some slack.

If you don’t agree with anything I’ve said so far, you’re probably part of that 1% … or would like to be.

In the interest of fairness, here’s a tale about how the 1 percenters get there (theirs). For illustrative purposes only, I will use an example that is currently in the news… because of a fire over the weekend that destroyed the current viability of White Point Beach Lodge. According to CBC news, it is reported that 150 (of the 99%) will be unemployed as a result of that fire. CBC went on to report that an interview with the principals of the company that owns the Lodge stated they “intend to rebuild”, but were indefinite as to when White Point Lodge would reopen. At the time that story was filed, fire investigators had not yet had a chance to determine the cause … some three days after the event. We know of other fires where investigators were in attendance an hour after the fire was put out and the embers still warm to the touch. Why the hold up?

Considering that N.S. Premier, Darrel Dexter announced that WE, the people of Nova Scotia had “loaned” ONE MILLION dollars in June of this year to White Point Beach Lodge, for the upgrading of its facilities, one would hope there might be a great rush to get up and running as soon as possible. The company, being run by (presumably) prudent and canny businessmen, must have had Business Interruption coverage on their insurance policy … in addition to the usual property and liability covers, I’m sure. Well, maybe the business interruption cover was not a concern to the owners. Surely, the people who “loaned” OUR tax dollars would have made that a requirement? And, how well secured were the peoples’ interests in this deal? Were insurance proceeds assigned to the Province of Nova Scotia? Will we ever get our money back?

Don’t hold your breath.

If Andy Rooney were still alive, I’ll bet he would have a few more questions. Like, why is the Province of Nova Scotia playing banker here? A viable, profitable business should qualify for a line of credit from a BANK, should it not?

Could it be that this very destructive fire came at an opportune time … when tourism to this province is on the decline … because of a shrinking economy in the United States, high gas prices and a poor economic outlook in general. Could it be that White Point is holding out until the big, Thirty five BILLION dollar shipbuilding pipe dream materializes for Nova Scotia?

Did the people who “loaned” our money actually pay any attention to White Point’s liability and profit/loss statements over the previous fourty eight months before making the loan decision?

Should these not be the all important questions … when you consider Dexter’s “government” has increased your taxes since taking office? How about the cuts to health and education Dexter and Graham Steal are putting in place to “cut the deficit”?

In Nova Scotia, the deficit has GROWN to 13 BILLION DOLLARS and it sure as hell wasn’t the 99% who directed ( or profited from) that growth.

Or, could it be that … because Robert Risley is one of the principals in the company who owns White Point Beach Lodge is a “favored son”, he automatically qualifies ?

Hmmm…. It’s gotta be that RISLEY name that did it, for sure.

Nova Scotians have made “loans” in the MILLIONS and BILLIONS to the Risley family over the years… while we taxpayers don’t even get kissed, for having put up with lousy roads, high taxes and P3 Schools as we all sacrificed to put Robert and John ( Clearwater, Ocean, etc.) Risley into the 1% club.

All because Risley’s father was well connected politically, in the Progressive(?) CONservative party. The bigger question is: How many more Risley’s are there, and have we not given them enough money already? When does the dynasty end?

There are others too. The Bragg family. Call centers and “manufacturing” enterprises that all went tits up, mysteriously, after receiving thousands and/or MILLIONS of your tax dollars. The biggest lie is when these people are referred to as “entrepreneurs”, an absolute misnomer when compared against the definition in a dictionary: “Someone who organizes a business venture and assumes the risk for it.” In Nova Scotia, taxpayers are responsible, invariably, when and if, these businesses go tits up.

Socialize the risks and Privatize the Profits

Many of these “loans” are barely secured by the people who get them, with (well hidden) kickbacks to the lenders, of course.

The old arguments that these “loans” of taxpayer’s money is necessary because they provide “jobs, jobs, jobs” doesn’t hold under close scrutiny … and THEY don’t like the close scrutiny that is engendered by people living in tents in public spaces … who might cause anyone to actually THINK … and question as to why people would put themselves up to be ridiculed, and abused by paid thugs (police) who support a system that further picks their pockets,(legally of course), for the (dubious) privilege.

The 99% , in Nova Scotia have every good reason to protest … and so should you.

CHINESE JUNK ... & OTHER CANADIAN FLOTSAM & JETSAM

I have made the great EUREKA, according to an interview on TV, the Governor of the Bank of Canada is the top son-of-a-bitch who is encouraging investment in China. He says that investment in China is preferable over the US because the interest is better.

I don’t pretend to understand things financial or international trade, except that investment in China means that our manufacturing industries are closing here at home.

Everything you look at is made in China or somewhere else in the Far East, or Mexico. Three-quarters of working age Canadians are either working for minimum wage at a tentative job, or on welfare.

The tentative jobs are flipping burgers in fast food joints or working in a call center, the latter of which is on the most shaky ground when government subsidies run out and are not renewed.

No goddamned wonder people can’t get married, have kids, buy a house, or buy a car. They may lose their menial job next week. There is no certainty and no continuity.

Our society is a vicious circle.

Scenario: A Canadian company has made ‘widgets’ for several decades and their produce is top notch and actively sought after. Company profits are good.

Enter the union which decides that the workforce will strike unless they get unwarranted pay and benefit raises. Of course, the union bosses don’t give a shit about the workforce but it is a chance to threaten the company and justify a raise in their own salary.

Most of this workforce is quite satisfied with their conditions of pay and benefits. Many have worked there for twenty or thirty years and have roots in the community, pensions accumulated, and mortgages which up to now, have been easy to handle because the job was solid. There was certainty and continuity.

The company has binding commitments for their product and has to yield to the union demands. Now the company profit margin is cut but the shareholders are demanding that their investments be protected so the company has to raise prices.

The company may survive one such action but the consumers are getting antsy about this price escalation.

A few short years pass and the cycle is repeated. Stockholders still demand a high return on their investment so widgets go up in price again and the company is forced to cut back on quality and finish.

The sales fall off because customers are seeking a new source.

About this time, scouts from China have seen the potential and their factories start turning out a second rate widget.

The company comes to a point where they have to cut back to survive and layoffs result, jobs are lost, pensions are reduced or lost, and forty percent of the workforce can no longer cover their mortgages and maintain their lifestyle.

Now, enter the consumer, you and me. We have all suffered restrictions in our disposable income and we have anxiously watched the escalation of the cost of widgets. China has pursued its production and have gained market share in Canada, mostly through the big box stores.

One day, at WALLY WORLD, we notice a widget (probably by another name) that is thirty percent cheaper than the domestic model. Because we are limited in our funds, we justify not supporting the Canadian industry, and we latch onto the Asian knockoff, knowing full well that it probably sub-standard, but hell, it IS cheaper.

After a time, all of the widget manufacturers in Canada fall victim to this short sightedness on the part of government for allowing it and of ourselves for not recognizing the damage we are doing to our own economy.

Now, widgets are no longer ‘Made in Canada’, so the Chinese can lower their already abysmal standards and sell to a captive market. They can make the huge profits because of having abundant serf labour and our Bank of Canada Governor can justify to Canadians why they should invest in China.

We, the consumers, are all guilty, I know that I am, but I am changing and saying to hell with the fact that Asian products are cheaper. I try to look for Canadian or American made products.

I am adamant when it comes to foodstuffs. My wife bought a jar of dill pickles made in India. They were cheap, yes, but I refuse to eat them and they will rot on the shelf. I simply do not trust Chinese or other Asian food neither in its preparation or its source.

It is difficult to find many "Canadian made" products because the manufacturers have all been put out of business ... or, moved offshore themselves. For example, I tried recently at Home Hardware, to find a pair of Canadian made work gloves. Every pair they carried were made in China.

The situation is getting absolutely grim. I hope we never have to go to war with a friend of China because they would cut off our supply of arms and ammunition. CIL used to make the best ammunition in the world. It was consistent, accurate, and powerful and now ... they don’t make the desired ‘Imperial’ brand anymore. I have spoken to many American hunters who told me that they never brought ammunition when they came to Canada because they preferred the ‘Imperial’ which was a product of Canadian Industries Limited.

Why do we have assholes running off to the Orient trying to ‘Improve’ trade relations? They can’t seem to build ships large enough to bring their trash to North America. I watched a TV show about a huge container carrier and her maiden voyage with thousands of containers for North America and on her return voyage she carried mostly empty containers.

The 35 BILLION shipbuilding contract is coming to Halifax Shipyards but, as good as it is, there is some "fine print". These ships will be assembled from components because, as the man said, “That is the way ships are built nowadays”. They readily admit that sub-contracts for these components will be let all across Canada. So, you can see that a good portion of the 35 B will go to Quebec and Ontario, and to the transportation companies who will be bringing the sections to be glued together in Halifax Shipyards, by sea and by rail.

It is wonderful thing to see Nova Scotia get all this work because I think we are master shipbuilders. I would like to see them build using more traditional methods but if components is the only way to go ... then make them ... in Nova Scotia.

Now, thinking in the extreme, how would you feel about the components being made in China just because they would be cheaper? Don’t be too surprised if that happens. The dumbassed Canadian Government might use this approach to, ‘improve’ trade relations.

I think we must demand of our governments, both Provincial and Federal, to stop the systematic destruction of Canadian manufacturing and in fact reverse it. It would be expensive and it would mean broken agreements, and it may tend to lead to isolation for a while but we could come back. We could come back to the quantity and high quality of goods that we produced during and for a time after WW2.

For this to happen it would need for the blinders to be taken off the politicians and civil servants, and it would need for unions to be controlled.

We need Canada back.

JACK LAYTON HAS LEFT THE BUILDING

Jack Layton will be missed in his role of Canada’s Jiminy Cricket to Herr Harper and his Mob of miscreants. A gentle soul who loved to make music … but not without the political acumen to bring the NDP from being a backwater party to a position of power as the official Opposition. Of course other historical events contributed to the NDP’s rise in stature ,so it’s not always totally attributable to “leadership” alone. It helps a lot when the other guys become too complacement and forget to cover the tracks of their crooked dealings and elitist attitudes that turn voters off.

After Harper displays what little empathy he possesses to the public over Jack Layton’s loss, it will be politics as usual for the Iceman … who surely must be salivating over the new political opportunities the leaderless New Democratic Party will open for him in Quebec.

Give it a little time for everyone to distance themselves from the event of Jack’s demise and you can bet there will be a reemergence of the Bloc as the moles in the Quebec wing of the NDP get their bearings and assert their old demands on the (compliant) interim leader and ex Bloc member. Without stalwart Layton’s leadership, it’s only a matter of time before the (ex ?) Bloc members of the NDP rear their heads and display their true allegiances to a sovereigntist Quebec.Once a Blochead, always a Blochead.

This has all the potential of the end of the NDP as we know it and it plays right into Herr Harper’s hands.

There is an accumulation of bullshit that has been bothering me lately. If you can use this in your blog or wherever, please feel free.

Let me get this straight, millions were spent, by potential immigrants, into a fund that was supposed to place them in their field of expertise. This is already a weird beginning to the plot.

The plan failed ... and now, the immigrants who put out over a hundred thousand each are demanding their money back. I think they intend a class action suit.

Some mental midget says they will be paid out of some pot of gold but not out of public money. BULLSHIT! All money is public money ... and, I will bet you that the fund money is gone anyway. There are deep pockets for multi-millions of dollars and it would not just lay around while the bureaucracy has access to it.

HOW ABOUT THE SCAM ARTISTS THAT COOKED THIS PLAN UP? .... You can bet they helped themselves ... it's been proven in the past they always do ... especially with large amounts of (unaccountable) $$$.

FOLLOW THE MONEY!

My next wager is that the TAXPAYER will pay those thirty or forty millions.

The second issue on my mind is the Sydney tar ponds matter. Companies and their hierarchy took home BILLIONS over the life of the Sydney Steel operation. All the time, they were amassing a vast pool of toxic waste with no idea or plan to neutralize or dispose of it.

Now, all those companies and hierarchy have vanished with the billions, and a group is launching a class action suit to get reparations for perceived hardship and illness caused by the toxic waste.

There is no doubt that they will win and there is no doubt the taxpayer will pay, again. Who else? The government is not going after their billionaire friends for recovery.

The third issue is the ongoing struggle over the Aboriginal Schools matter. Someone needs to explain to me how several mainline churches could receive millions from the government (our money) to establish these schools and then wash their hands after it has been proven that the institutions were basically illegal and rife with bizarre punishments ... populated with staff who were largely immoral and only too eager to promote and perpetrate rampant sexual abuse on innocents.

The government will never go after these churches, which obviously defaulted on their obligations ... So, guess who pays? The TAXPAYER! Abused once again and really without recourse ... until WE stop being gullible and believing every politician, from every party ... who comes along feeding us all a bunch of bullshit schemes THEY designed to make them and their party look good. In Nova Scotia, we’ve had them all and found out there isn’t one you could trust with your life. LIARS and THIEVES! In the Canadian nation pretty much the same conclusions have been met but people continue to deny the realities and buy the BULLSHIT ... and then wonder why their kids can’t read or write as they drive on shitty highways ... made unsafe by tractor trailers that forced out our railways ...today, driving up the cost of the goods we need to sustain life.

Our Canadian Constitution ain’t worth shit as long as there are sleazy, lying politicians in governments that are protected by a phalanx of high paid lawyers ( YOU pay for them, too) and (government appointed) “judges” who contribute to stacking the deck against any citizen who complains against a system catering to an elite that always expects the rest of us should pay the bills THEY incur.

The best idea I’ve seen, came from a friend recently ... after he saw this in one of those e-mails making the rounds.

We should amend the Canadian Charter.

The very first and only Article should read as follows. Toss the rest of the Charter. Send this to your buddy in the US and suggest considering following suit!

The Government of Canada should at all times listen to the public and do what they are told ...in all other cases the Government of Canada should go fuck themselves.

There has to be an end to this bullshit because what is to stop some Aboriginal in fifty years time, suing the government because his great-great-grand daddy was abused at a residential school in 1930. The proof of the last statement is the fact that they are using weak kneed(compliant) Supreme Court judges to re-interpret 300 year old treaties, always in their favor.

Hmm ... Charlie Sheen is pretty quiet while he confronts reality.

William and Kate have come through their formalized nuptials without much incident … and now, we’ll just have to put up with the endless speculations about the royal couple when the various tabloids hit the wall for something sensational.

Meanwhile, gasoline prices continue to soar as they take the cost of food and all things that must travel by truck or ship up to the heights with them.

In the United States, the people of that country have no choice as they contend with massive unemployment and underemployment while trying to survive in a society that has sullied capitalism with unbridled greed, driven by a paucity of morality and ethics as it goes about its business.

Simple minded Americans believe their President to be descended from the heavens and possessing powers beyond that of any mortal man, invariably blame him when things don’t go well in their country.

Such is/was the case with Barack Obama who has been plummeting in the polls and under pressure from Republican extremists to prove his birthright as he heads into a re-election campaign for 2012. Granted, when one looks at who his detractors are … and the level of intelligence exhibited by the likes of Sarah Palin,Glenn Beck, Rush Limppaw and the over-hyped Donald Trump ( just ask him, he’ll tell ya how great he is) … it’s a stretch to afford them credibility, but there is a large element of the American public who are impressed by such “minds” so the Obama machine is covering its collective ass.

So, how fortuitous that Washington is able to trumpet the death of Osama bin Laden, the leader and arch “terrorist” behind Al Qaida. Yessss!!!

Murrica has triumphed over the elusive bin Laden, tracked him to his lair and dispatched him with a bullet(s) to his brain. And, not wishing to give his Muslim terrorist followers a body to elevate to martyrdom, those canny Murricans gave Osama a burial at sea … the ultimate ablution.

Good news for a change ... a brief respite while new "terrorists" are scripted.

And of course, immediately, throngs were able to organize and hit the streets with wild abandon as they celebrated the death of the man upon which all of the blame for “9!!” has been focused .

Isn’t that GREAT? But, can YOU trust THEM?

UPDATE: Surprise, Surprise ... now the details of "Wag The Dog II" are changing as the White House fends off those who have begun to ask cogent questions ... as well they should. It's funny, if not pitiable, to think the American people can be so easily taken in by such unadulterated BULLSHIT. But, then, all you have to do is listen to the anchors of the American TV network news shows as they melodramatically over hype this (rip and read) story that came to them. The icing on the cake is the slop being pumped out by the tabloids like "Inside Edition" and "Access Hollywood". As Bugs Bunny once said,"What (bunch) of maroons." I am reminded of Hitler's propaganda minister, Joseph Goebbels who more or less revealed his philosophy when he said, in so many words, that if you make the lie big enough, people are more likely to believe it. In the United States, apparently anything can fly ... especially when the populace desperately wants to believe this drivel. A sad commentary as Rome descends to the depths.

Carefully crafted and sold to the younger demographic by the likes of Rick Mercer ( who is well compensated for his efforts) and shilled by those university and high school students whose mommies and daddies benefit the most from their political affiliations in the various parties.

Party memberships are dwindling as oldsters die off … or, become enlightened to the real reasons and purposes behind political parties.

There are no “leaders” in any political party today who are worthy of the positions they hold. Parties themselves all run on pretty much the same platforms and spout the same lies and promises … with an eye to the same prize … POWER. And MONEY! If you are a rational and experienced person, you will have long ago concluded there is nothing unique to any of the political parties extant today in Canada.

Did you know that when a party, or, its candidate promises something to the electorate they could be charged under the Elections Act, if, somehow, you could make them “put it in writing”? Lying is encouraged and “anything goes” in order to WIN. What the hell kind of a system is this?

I wonder if these kids who are participating in these dumb assed “Voting Mobs” are aware that the people they are prepared to support with their votes encourage this kind of lying and manipulation?

Just think, all you young people aged 18 to 25 can actually participate in fucking yourselves … like P.T. Barnum once said, “There’s a sucker born every minute … and it is us!”

In fact, that’s the problem. The people who commit to wars, using young people to do all of the heavy lifting ( and dying), are now using the young to legitimize their politics ... and for the same reasons.

The young fight the wars because they don’t have the maturity of years … and the experience that usually comes with them to discern they are simply being used ( and abused) to do the dirty work needed in such circumstances. So it is with these asinine “voting mobs” that have been cooked up to use young people to perpetuate the legitimization of political parties that , at their core, are not democratic, and don’t exist for the betterment of all Canadians. These young people don’t look at the history of the system they are championing, they are simply swept up in the moment as they are stroked by the elite who run the political parties, and stand to lose the most when the system fails. The electorate is losing its collective faith in the “great myth”. These “Voting Mobs” are a throwback to the application of the hysterical euphoria that was employed at the Nuremberg rallies to get a gullible and pliant German people supporting their “Fuhrer”, Adolf Hitler. Does anyone know if there were torchlight rallies for these voting mobs?

The current system is a very subtle form of dictatorship … by a narrow elite, permitted to exist because those with the MONEY/POWER find it advantageous as an enabling method to control and exploit the masses.

Political parties were invented to give the broader base (people) the impression ( fallacy) that they control their destiny through their (limited) choices of this politician or that … representing one party or another.

The reality: He who has the most money has the power… is the power, and the role of the politician whom we are expected to pick ( elect) from the list of party chosen candidates is relegated to playing the role of a high profile and ( preferably) affable individual who cares about you and your problems … at least until he/she is elected. Once election is accomplished, MONEY=POWER takes precedence and takes over ... the electorate becomes an afterthought. That’s why Ronald Reagan, the late President of the United States became so popular when he transitioned from Hollywood actor to politician. In fact, it was his biggest role … and he was playing a part, the character of a President, honed and refined and customized to what a gullible American electorate had been programmed to expect. American presidents are not royalty. Contrary to what most Americans might believe, their president is not an entity unto himself,either. He does not act alone. Any President who attempts power , like John F. Kennedy, soon learns there are those who will soon “jerk him into reality” using the most (base) basic methods available.

The politician is, basically, a salesman whose job is to be the party’s representative. They are the people you go after when you disagree with something their party’s “government” does … or takes an unpopular position.That's the job ... obfuscate, and entertain.

Other than placating the electorate by appearing to have an interest in their problem(s) … and creating the impression they have the power to change things (they don’t), their prime purpose is to continue to bullshit you for at least two terms ( eight years) and get the golden ring as the carousel of status quo continues to go round and round ( to THEIR advantage) … as they qualify for their PENSIONS.

Now, the media and everyone else, for some strange reason, is trumpeting Jack Layton and his NDPee crowd as the alternative to the lying, thieving, megalomaniacal Herr Harper, or the Liberal’s delicate dilettante who would much rather be back in “Murrica”.

Nova Scotians made a big mistake by electing Dexter’s NDPee with a MAJORITY. Already, it’s costing them and they left themselves without any controls over that group of lying thieving bastards. But then, the Nova Scotia taxpayer has been getting fucked forever … by the Progressive CONservatives and the Lieberals … on an alternating basis. Voters in Nova Scotia, it seems, just don’t have the ability to make good choices when it comes to governments. And, not only do they buy any old line of bullshit from the leaders of political parties and get burned … but, they simply cannot stop making the same mistakes over and over again as they (usually) give these parties MAJORITIES.

On one occasion only, the Lieberals, under the leadership of Gerald Regan, actually did some good for Nova Scotia by taking over the Nova Scotia Light And Power utility. Then, probably the biggest crook/incompetent, in the name of one John Buchanan CONS(ervative) his way into their hearts and bled Millions of $$$ out of the province until he had fucked things up so badly that he finally resigned and left things to his “interim” leader, Donny Cameron…who promptly finished the job and gave OUR utility away to political friends at fire sale prices ( after having built it up with OUR tax dollars).

Now, the people in Nova Scotia are staring down the barrel of another 9% cost hike in their electrical rates … with no real end in sight as “ENRON North” keeps raising rates with impunity.

So, it seems that even though the birth rate in Nova Scotia is on the decline (not that anyone could afford to live here) … there’s lots of sex as politicians and political parties continue to screw everyone in the province.

ELECTING THE DICTATOR ... CANADA'S MOST DANGEROUS FLIRTATI

Here we are in the middle of another federal election … adroitly engineered by Stephen Harper (himself) in yet another attempt by this less than trustworthy individual to give you even more of his brand of DICTATORSHIP. He’s had his pollsters working like mad, and , like Hitler’s astrologer , they have advised him that he has a good chance of getting that majority he has been after . God help us all if Canadians let that happen.

Harper, well named, it seems, has been harping against a dreaded “Coalition” that never existed and has no real prospect of being. Instead, Harper is offering you (what he calls) “a strong, national, stable Conservative “government” ( the parentheses are mine). It just won’t be democratic … it’s a HARPER GOVERNMENT!

What Stephen Harper really wants is an iron clad DICTATORSHIP. The operative word Herr Harper incessantly repeats and repeats has been “stable” … and, when I hear the word “stable”, the first thought that comes to mind is a place where cows are housed. Cows … bulls ... BULLSHIT!

There’s definitely something Freudian that runs this man’s brain. He would like to think he is addressing a herd of docile cows … Canadians without any ability to think or discern they are being sold a bill of goods, that , if he achieves his MAJORITY government, will make him as difficult to get rid of as Moammar Gadhafi,Hosni Mubarak, or any of the power mad dictators who have dominated their hapless subjects in third world countries all over this planet, lately.

The alternatives to Herr Harper are not great, but, ex –Premier of Newfoundland Danny Williams, hit the nail on the head the last time out when he announced his “ABC campaign” . Since being forced out of that position as Newfoundland’s prime leader by Harper’s machine, Danny has kept a low personal profile, but rumors abound that he still maintains his stance of Anything But CONservative (ie. Stepen Harper) as the potential recipient for anyone’s vote. This is an “insider” among insiders who, long ago, surmised that Stephen Harper is dangerous in ways he won’t reveal …. until, and unless Canadians are gullible enough to give him a majority government. WINNING!!! I can hear Charlie Sheen’s drug addled pronouncements as I see the word. To Stephen Harper, WINNING (a majority) is the only thing that drives this madman.

Not good government based on moral and ethical principles, but simply accomplishing dictatorial power over all Canadians the like of which this country has never known before in its history. His handlers will see this, I’m sure, and say anything and everything to dispel this perception of their own” Adolph Hitler” … Canadians should consider the source and act with some forethought. Vote by rote and give this guy a majority and we will all pay the consequences.

In fact, Stephen Harper, who would have us all believe he is benign, is like no other politician in Canada. This man is a sociopath who thinks nothing of sending young Canadian men and women to hot spots like Afghanistan and watching them be killed. This is the same man who, when those young soldiers come home missing limbs or, are forever ruined psychologically, can look at their conditions with detachment and cast them off into the real world to fend for themselves. Russell Williams, Canada’s newest convicted serial killer, has been diagnosed as a sociopath … because of his ability to kill women and detach himself from the deeds. Paul Bernardo is a sociopath … another sicko who would exercise POWER over others, primarily women.

In fact, this infuriating son of a bitch simply wants to dump those young men and women into the hands of today’s Department of Veterans Affairs who awards them $150,000 per lost limb … or by whatever convoluted rationale “his government” employs … and then basically tells them to “fuck off” and don’t bother the Harper Government anymore.

Again, one cannot help comparing Stephen Harper to Hitler ( by the way, both names have the same number of letters) who, when he was losing his war, didn’t think twice about blaming the poor buggers who were being killed and maimed for losing it.

Herr Harper does the same with Canada’s soldiers. Lose your arms and legs and come home so that you cannot serve anymore or work at another job where you can pay taxes to him, and this guy wants to get rid of you with one lump sum payment.

I’m reminded of the standing offer Al Qaida ( the terrorist organization) has : They will give $50,000 to the family of any young man who will undertake to blow himself up and become a martyr. I find a similarity in Harper’s attitudes toward our armed forces. In fact, the Harper organization prefers that Canadian soldiers come home in boxes … because it’s more “cost effective” from their standpoint … and cause no problems politically for his CONservative “government”.

The death benefit paid to the soldier’s survivors comes from a group insurance policy and the Harper Government pays for the funeral. Nice and tidy. On the other hand, those soldiers who come home with arms and legs and eyes missing are a problem for Herr Harper … because the voting public sees these people and hears the stories of how Herr Harper’s “people” wind up treating them like shit.

Is this what Canadians want running their country?

If you do, then I would ask you where in hell your sense of decency and morality exists. Perhaps you deserve a DICTATOR such as Herr Harper … who will take far greater care of his elite friends … the bankers and corporate businessmen who don’t want to pay any taxes, and want their million dollar pay cheques protected ... as Harper has already indicated he will do ... and has done, …even without his coveted majority.

As I said, I’m not impressed by any of the leaders, Ignatieff included. That said, I don’t believe any of them to be as dangerous as the secretive, uncommunicative, lying, megalomaniacal Stephen Harper.

The man is a pariah. It has been advertised in the past( when his handlers thought it would earn him points) that his mentor was Brian Mulroney, former Prime Minister, arch liar and unconvicted thief who stole countless millions from the people of Canada.

That is not mentioned these days. In fact, I’m sure that relationship, though ongoing, is suppressed as it has been by the Prime Minister’s Office … Stephen Harper’s government’s office.

Call me anything you want … but “Polyanna” I ain’t. Unlike too many Canadians who cannot wait to run out and vote, I’m not about to run around humming that old Ray Steven’s hit, “Everything Is Beautiful” to myself as I think positive thoughts about this arrogant son of a bitch. The reality is we are in times when we should all be “following the money” that has been stolen from us, since forever, in that Spring ritual Ottawa euphemistically calls “taxes”. Today’s taxes are tomorrow’s thefts, plain and simple …. perpetuated by politicians who inveigle themselves into our wallets by bribing us with our own money, while they jockey for MAJORITY governments.

Look at the history of this country. The biggest crooks are many of the people at the top … the leaders of political parties and their backroom “boys”, who continually benefit … while the rest of us are relegated to putting up with their bullshit and leftovers. It is THEIR right … as so arrogantly put forth by one Dave Dingwall during a government inquiry into rip-offs ... for which no one was really ever convicted. A show to placate the masses while the elite continues to WIN.

I’m sure there were variations of these scams practiced years ago … but they were not so blatantly in your face as they are today. With the advent of the internet, it has become more difficult for politicians to hide their transgressions as they steal from taxpayers, and lie about their involvements. Somehow, they continue to thrive. Perhaps, sleazy politicians can best be attributed to the character ( or lack thereof ) of those the parties pick to run under their banner.

There are too many politicians and party organizers with legal backgrounds. Even the appellation of the profession, “lawyer”, bears a striking similarity to that other (pejorative) “liar”, and with good reason.

POLITICIANS … in spite of how they would prefer to direct your perceptions, very few are altruists … those who come in with that motivation , soon lose it …. and forever stay in the back benches, useful (low or no level) tools who toe the party line. Politics is a growth industry and those who can continually fool an unsuspecting public find it quite lucrative on many levels. They become the “Ministers”.

It’s for this reason no one should be prepared to TRUST any politician and certainly not any political party with their time, money or a vote.

Politicians know they are not trusted by the majority of people … especially those taxpayers who have witnessed the lies and thefts that have come to light at all levels of governments over the past fifty years. In order to counter those perceptions, parties, and political leaders have utilized the talents of pollsters ( to lead you), publicists and media advisers ( to make you believe the moon is green) and criminals who have successfully scammed millions of dollars from helpless victims.

Stephen Harper, the secretive, scheming liar … who would have the majority of gullible Canadians believe he is really “St. Stephen” come to rescue them from all other evil political parties ( but especially Liberals) is no exception.

Herr Harper, or, as he is known by his Indian name, “ Consorts With Criminals” is holding secret meetings with his advisers to get you to vote him in with a MAJORITY. Oh, Oh … there’s that word again.

And who has Stephen Harper employed to help ensure his DICTATORSHIP? One of his very good friends is a past master at screwing people. He’s also an ex-lawyer with the convictions and prison time to authenticate his credentials as a thief and liar.

Just what Canadians need in Ottawa. Christ knows it ain’t bad enough … now Harper’s bringing in professionals to fuck everybody.

Speaking of things sexual, I wanted to acknowledge the latest shit to hit the fan for our guy, Stevo … and his tight buddy, Bruce Carson. Carson, was an “adviser” to Harper in the halcyon days before we really knew what he was all about. Now that we’re smack dab in the middle of another (shit) election, Bruce Carson has been welcomed, with open arms, back into the protective portals of the Prime Minister’s offices. Of course, Carson, age 66, who suffers from a severe case of post- “Middle age crisis” had difficulty making it through the office doors as he is suffering from a severe case of Viagra overdose … and has to be careful how he moves. He has a permanent hard on for his 22 year old paramour, Michelle McPherson, an “ex-escort” for whom Carson has become a pathetically real character in a one of those dramatic Hollywood movies you may have seen … where the guy eventually winds up committing suicide when reality finally hits him that she is only after the money. For that matter, she ain’t much different than most politicians.

So, does the fact that Bruce Carson has been given access to the Prime Minister’s office, present a problem? Damn right. Harper, in spite of his piano playing and singing Beatle’s songs in an effort to try and spark up his image, is a dour, one dimensional guy … who has, as his “political advisor” a 66 year old guy who is madly in love with a 22 year old “escort” … and, to a great extent, thinks with his “small head”. It’s unlikely that the humorless Harper has ever heard Robin William’s (now) famous quote, “See, the problem is, God gives men a brain and a penis … and only enough blood to run one at a time.”

Carson is a man with quite the history. He did eighteen months in jail for ripping off his clients, before he was disbarred as a lawyer. Recently, CBC uncovered more charges against Carson … but Harper and his “people” are not giving up on Bruce. They still intend to use him and he will be rewarded with your tax dollars … as usual, secretive Stevo ain’t tellin’ you shit.

Carson needs BIG money to keep his “girlfriend”in the lifestyle to which she has become accustomed.

Because, as an expression of his undying love for Michelle, who has been turning tricks since the age of thirteen, Carson gifted her with an expensive Mercedes and an even more expensive house … talk about your Phoenix rising from the ashes.

How does a guy like Bruce Carson get his hands on BIG money ( at least Half a MILLION) like this after apparently losing everything? Could it be that Carson is “connected”?

Here is a man who is suspected of shady dealings, a disbarred lawyer who did jail time and has BIG bucks to spend lavishly on a young hooker …. now has an entrée into the highest office in Canada.

This is the same Stephen Harper who , not too long ago viciously went after Helena Guergis and drummed her out of “his “ party and refused to allow her to run again. For what? The RCMP, after its investigation, found nothing illegal or chargeable against Ms Guergis. Why did Harper want her shut up and out of the picture?

Nova Scotia Premier Darrell Dexter says his government has hit its stride. (CBC)

In a year-end interview with CBC-TV, Nova Scotia's premier admits his NDP government got off to a rocky start in 2010. A major understatement on Dexter’s part … considering he was identified as a major player in the theft ( by conversion) of Nova Scotian’s hard earned tax dollars to buy himself a digital SLR camera ( among other thing we will never be privy to) … in addition to paying his Law Society dues … while other MLA’s around him similarly helped themselves to generators, lap top computers by the dozens … all “first class” wares … all on the back of the same poor bastards in this province whose pockets they continue to pick. His “rocky start” was the fact that HE got caught, along with the others and HIS credibility is one notch up from total shit … proving that No One should trust any of these bastards … regardless of the party they represent. The real piss off? Dexter et al simply say they’re “sorry” and don’t get charged, fined … or even castigated by a complicit media that falls all over itself to kiss this bastard’s ass while letting him and his fellow liars and thieves get away with their bullshit.

Darrell Dexter said the second half of the year was more fruitful and he feels his government has finally hit its stride. Fruitful? That means that he and Graham Steal are now more experienced at hiding $$$ and will be less easily caught in the future as they pillage your household budget. What’s in YOUR wallet? Cause they’re planning to steal that,too.

"I just simply think we had a very difficult first few months of the year," said Dexter. "[The] MLA expense scandal issues that came up, they were difficult." It’s always a bitch when you’re caught red handed and you try to bullshit your way out of the TRUTH. Unfortunately, for the people of Nova Scotia, not difficult enough … but, that can be rectified by NEVER giving these crooked bastards a majority position ever again. Lying and thievery is endemic in all politicians … that’s why ex-politicos refer to the process as a “game”.

Dexter became the first NDP premier of Nova Scotia in June 2009, defeating the Conservatives under Rodney MacDonald and the Liberals under Stephen McNeil. Rampant Rodney did it to us and, if you listen carefully to the sub text of McNeil’s utterings ( and make the mistake of giving his Liberals a majority)he will do exactly the same things … because they KNOW the electorate is too busy earning a living and trying to survive to really pay attention …and to learn that all of these guys run on bullshit. And, anyone who thinks that the new CONservative leader, Jamie Baillie, will be any different had better start paying close attention to what’s coming from his mouth. SOS … Same Old Shit …with the added touch of recycled Ralph (Kline).

After months of planning, Dexter said, some pieces began to fall into place in mid-2010.

“Planning” is it? When? The only thing this clown has “planned” is to put every taxpayer in the Province of Nova Scotia in the goddamned poorhouse with additional “taxes” … on top of other, hidden taxes … while he gives MILLIONS of dollars ( he and his henchman, Graham Steal tell US we DON’T have) away to things like “WORLD” Trade Centres and “industries” owned or connected to the people who pumped money into his election campaign. SOS… employed again.

The announcement of the Lower Churchill project, which will funnel hydroelectric power from the Churchill River in Labrador through Newfoundland and then into Nova Scotia, the establishment of emergency-room standards and completing negotiations with the City of Halifax for a new convention centre are all highlights, according to the premier.

More bullshit of the unadulterated variety! The Lower Churchill project, like everything else politicians promise, is conditional. First of all, if it flies at all, it will not be on stream until 2016 … and, if the people of Nova Scotia ever develop any smarts, this guy’s ass will be long grass by then. In the meantime,you can look for higher “taxes” … so that YOU (Who?) can have that gold plated piss pot ( whoops … Convention Centre) that everybody … from all over the world will be flocking to ( like ... one a year, if they’re lucky) because it will be such a BIG fucking draw! But, if it ain’t … fuck it … ‘cause the suckers will be on the hook for it … and we’ll be long gone out of office anyway. Besides, the public can’t remember beyond two weeks ago, so, they’ll forget they don’t get shit for their money and buddy gets the profits and owns the building.He promised me a directorship in the company… after I quit politics “to spend more time with my family.” That’s the way it always works in Nova Scotia. We’re not sweating the emergency rooms, either. We just keep telling them all how “lucky” they are to have “free” health care …. And if they actually live to use it, they won’t argue … those dumb assed Nova Scotians. (Has anybody called Peter (MacKay) to see when we’re getting the Fed portion? OK, I guess we’ll have to wait until they fleece the ( same) taxpayers for their portion.) BULLSHIT baffles brains … especially in Nova Scotia.

But he warns there are tough times ahead for 2011. He said his government is determined to balance the budget in this mandate and that will mean big spending cuts. Tough times? Not for politicians … who make the rules, set their salaries and pensions … and simply squeeze every poor fucker who lives in Nova Scotia. You know? Nova Scotia, where they have the second highest taxes in the country … next to Ontario. What? You can’t afford FOOD, or electricity, or gas to get to your job as a cleaner/waitress/bum boy at the WORLD Trade and Convention Centre? Get off your ass and go get a third job … because we ain’t paying you welfare … we can’t afford to steal stuff for ourselves and cover your needs, too.

Dexter said consultations with municipalities, as well as with people involved in health care and education, are helping to find ways to trim budgets. I’m sure if the Auditor General went back and accounted for all of the dollars stolen from the people in the province over past years, there would be a 20 Billion dollar surplus. But, until that happens, why not CUT your salary and expenses and pare back the public’s contribution to the politician’s pensions for a start. Better still, fire all of your fat, useless asses.

"If we don't do it now, then it'll get done later and it'll be much more difficult. We've asked them to work on it with us, and we found ... first of all, they recognize the problem and, secondly, they are prepared to work with us on it," he said. We ( the NDP) have to buckle down and steal as much as we can and set ourselves up for the future … because the people will probably fire our asses out of government by the time our term is up and we don’t want to leave a helluva lot for the Liberals or CONservatives.

On a personal note, the premier said he finds the job rewarding, but challenging.

In spite of the fact that recent experience in other venues across North America is showing negative profits ( like, NONE) for the same white elephants, all the while, TAXPAYERS will be on the hook to PAY for this bullshit … through the increased property and hidden taxes our “leaders” are planning to stick to us … without any consultation, referendums or regard for TRUTH.

What makes these fuckers such geniuses that they can see beyond the obvious? Audacity is what these assholes run on, plain and simple.

In a television news story the other night from the Boston area, there is a similar building being rammed through and, again, those against the project have cited eventual increased taxes against negative revenues … while the proponents are claiming that “1,500 jobs” will come about to build the thing and “4,000 jobs” after it’s built. In fact, this is the same bullshit Mayor Peter Kelly and Boss Dexter are quoting as justification for plunging you and I into deeper debt. In fact, these are the same, tired bullshit arguments and reasons someone used for our now having gambling casinos here. What gains have we made since? The problem was/is that there is a shit load of other places that bought into these same money laundering schemes. AND that’s all these things are … money laundering schemes to get some of the TRILLIONS of illicit drug money cleaned up and legitimized … on the backs of unsuspecting taxpayers.

NO, Darrel Dexter, the WTCC is NOT your reason for being, and should not be your fucking priority as you abuse your position to piss away OUR dollars that should be going into education and health care. EDUCATION is where doctors begin. LEST YOU FORGET … Remembrance Day in Canada

As November 11 approaches, there are those Canadians who will truly remember (care) the supreme sacrifices made by the men and women of our armed forces. Their Silver Cross Mothers who are awarded medals as a permanent reminder of the death of their child in the service of a grateful country (?) will never forget.

Every year for the week leading up to November 11 the news presenters drag out their maudlin little homilies designed to call your attention to this one day. The Legion sells a lot of poppies and the vets have their piss ups and dinners after they parade to the cenotaphs across this country and witness the placing of the memorial wreaths. In Nova Scotia it’s a holiday. No, you don’t run around wishing every one you see a ”Happy Remembrance Day” … although there are idiot robots who have done just that. It’s supposed to be a day for quiet thought and reflection…like Good Friday … but with religion on the wane these days, many wouldn’t relate to that.

And it’s NOT a day for politicians of all stripes to huff and puff and emote ( as only politicians can do) about the “sacrifices” of our soldiers, sailors and airmen who died. For some, it’s just hollow rhetoric they do so well. In days past, when provincial and federal governments were populated with survivors of the First and Second World Wars, the sentiments expressed were more sincere. Many of them are dead and gone now, along with the inherent respect they expressed.

That was then. Nova Scotia is the exception in that stores are closed by statute on November 11^th. In many other provinces, unfortunately, it’s just another day to hit the stores after 12 o’clock.

But then, what else can you expect from a national government that has been ambivalent about wars past.

Especially, this current “government” in Ottawa under Herr Harper. Here’s a guy who hates Liberals but had no compunction in raising the stakes with our troops in Afghanistan. The Liberals may have sent them there … with an eye to peace keeping that Canada used to be reputed for doing so well. Harper was a few jumps ahead of that notion. He committed our troops to life threatening firefights with an enemy that gave a supreme ass kicking to the old Soviet regime, and there are those who suspect the costs of their war contributed to their downfall.

Billions spent on keeping Canadian troops in Afghanistan. For what? We’ll never know the truth from Canada’s most secretive dictator … who continually does what he wants with our soldiers and this country’s treasure.

Does anyone else remember the old recruiting campaigns of the Canadian Armed Forces, when, not too many years ago, the radio and TV ads thundered with a lusty male chorus of voices intoning repeatedly “ There’s no life like it , There’s no life like it” over quick edits of men in camouflage smiling at the camera, jet fighters peeling off and ships heeling over as they spewed a wake of white foam. Heady stuff for any unemployed,impressionable eighteen year old looking for a future.

Today there’s simply “ NO LIFE” … in flag draped coffins carried by brothers in arms who choke back their tears in the all- too- frequent “ramp ceremonies” out of Kandahar.

Peter MacKay wouldn’t go there and do what these people do. Certainly, not Herr Harper … unless there’s a camera there to get his picture.

What of today’s recruiting campaign? Their pitch today is “ Fight With The Canadian Armed Forces” !

More properly, our young people, veterans and those currently serving should have been better WARNED.

Their “FIGHT” will be with the Canadian Government’s Department of Veterans Affairs who, apparently under the direction and micro-management of Harper’s “government”, are getting royally ripped of the benefits and pensions they should be receiving.Quite frankly, I am embarassed and sickened that this "government" has the audacity to pull this kind of shit in my name, and in the name of all Canadians.

We’ve all heard the stories lately of how personal information of former service people( anyone who complains) was being passed around while their rightful benefits have been delayed, compromised or denied outright.

Recent veterans, returned from Harper’s pet project in Afghanistan with severed limbs and psychological trauma are being toyed with by the assholes ensconced in the well appointed offices and departments of Veterans Affairs. There is NO excuse for what they are (not) doing for and to the men and women who have served, unquestioningly, in this country’s armed forces. They have been used … and now abused by Harper’s complicit “government”. This is the same Harper who has no problem controlling other departments as to what they can do or say … but somehow, the Department of Veterans Affairs is an entity unto itself, that makes its own rules and is answerable to no one ...least of all, Stephen Harper… or, has he simply decided not to exert his "leadership"?

When you REMEMBER those who gave their lives for this country … make sure you REMEMBER this leader and his “government”, who has helped abuse and rip them off by jerking them around and denying long term pensions and benefits. Pensions and benefits … politicians NEVER deny themselves, in case you may have forgotten.

God knows there is a plethora of problems in Nova Scotia and Canada about which I should be commenting, and will, in time. But with all of my American friends and relatives about to send their politicos the message that they are PISSED OFF and ain’t gonna take it anymore, I felt compelled to at least acknowledge their struggle to regain control of their government(s) … which is long overdue, in both the U.S. and Canada .

By all means, get rid of the “professional politicians” who believe it is their RIGHT to have tenure as they pork barrel their way through taxes that are stolen from you by the thugs who legitimize themselves as the Internal Revenue Service.

In your rush to change things, you are being manipulated into what you will eventually learn is your undoing. You have lost sight of the fact your anti-Christ is a recycled alcoholic whose brain damaged emissions may have spurred you to action, but is leading you over the proverbial perilous cliff in the process.

As I listen to a shallow American media, I cannot but agree that you have not been getting the truth. In fact, you have been skillfully manipulated by omission, obfuscation and misdirection as the major networks cater to the elite establishment that owns and controls it. That said, are Americans so hungry for TRUTH that they would embrace anyone who appears (radically) different from that mainstream media as your messiah? Are you so desperate that you would follow someone with NO credentials, no ideas and certainly no proven leader qualities? Glenn Beck is the anti-Christ Americans have been warned about. This is a man, and Beck is only a man, who has become amazed and amused by his (apparent) ability to move millions into action that even certain leaders of the Tea Party cannot define. Joseph Paul Goebbels had that ( dangerous) ability as well.

His efforts on behalf of Adolph Hitler are legend … as is the eventual outcome of World War Two under the tutelage of the Nazis and Propaganda Minister Goebbels … who, after poisoning his six children, committed suicide along with his wife … because he found no substance in the convictions he was espousing for everyone else.

By all means, Americans have every reason to push for a cleanup of the status quo and should begin by reconsidering blindly following this party or that. Party politics is the elitist’ way of having you participate in your own exploitation … while they are the greatest beneficiaries. We really have no control over those who govern under the current system, and, we will argue this in subsequent entries .

In the meantime, Americans would do well to study and learn to differentiate between SOCIALISM and TOTALITARIANISM. There is a confused perspective I get from many Americans today. You are continually quoting from the Bible and professing many of you are “Christians”. If that were indeed the case, then socialism should not be so abhorrent to you … because socialism can best be defined as “ being your brother’s keeper”. What’s wrong with subscribing to humanity?

Totalitarianism, on the other hand, is what you have when the IRS comes to your home with guns and steals your property … because someone has decided you didn’t pay enough taxes. Totalitarianism is when young men are ordered into harm’s way in foreign countries because certain industries are more profitable when the country is in a war situation. NOVA SCOTIA : PUBLIC MONEY ... PRIVATE PROFITS

Well, after the short, hot summer and our brief fling with hurricanes and sleazy politicians of all stripes, I figured it’s time to write something for you.

I thought, perhaps, we should start with a quick history lesson that will probably come as a revelation to Chancellor Harper, the sociopath in Ottawa who is, without doubt, the most dangerous man in Canada for Canadians.

This is the guy who sends young men and women overseas to Afghanistan to become victims, psychologically or, smashed to hell physically … and then fcuks them any way he can through the Department of Veterans Affairs. This is the same POS who sure as hell wouldn’t go and do the job himself. So, our advice … don’t go to fight for any SOB who is not prepared to fight for you, after you come back broken. In fact, these same people would prefer that you, as a member of the Canadian Forces, DIE. That way, you can’t complain about your treatment and make THEM look bad,or, take THEM to court … juries tend to be sympathetic to men and women in wheelchairs or who have limbs missing. Dead = out of sight and mind. But, I digress.

I told you we were going to have a quick history lesson and this will no doubt come as a revelation to Canada’s pseudo-Canadian, Chancellor Stephen Harper. Herr Harper, renowned for his great hate for those of us in the Maritimes, will be surprised to learn that the land mass off the eastern tip of Cape Breton, Nova Scotia … became part of Canada … by choice … in 1949. Isn’t that amazing?

Herr Harper will claim he already knew that ( Peter MacKay told him five minutes ago) so, how is it the people in Newfoundland who recently got a shit kickin’ from hurricane Igor , had to wait almost a week before His Nastiness decided to mobilize troops and money to aid these suffering CANADIANS?

It was well documented by Tuesday, or even Monday, that the Avalon and District was in a world of hurt with homes destroyed and over 20,000 people isolated and running short of necessities.

Ships should have been ordered to sea early Tuesday, on pre-established (standing) orders issued to the Atlantic Fleet Admiral, that, at his discretion, supplies of food, fuel, medical, and whatever else, should be immediately loaded and dispatched. In this case … a ship to Argentia and one to Bonavista Bay would have been a good start.

Instead, Herr Harper, four days later, comes down for a helicopter ride and attempts to make ten thousand bales of political hay by announcing that Canadian Forces would be helping. Feed ten thousand bales of hay to some bulls and what do you get? A giant load of BULLSHIT … and that’s what Canada’s dictator does best.

We were quick to send assets and match donated dollars for Haiti and Pakistan but, here in Canada,Herr Harper had to come down from “Mount Olympus”, and survey the people who are in the middle of the worst disaster since 1923 ... just to make sure he is seen and remembered at the next election, as their Saviour. The “best before date” on this SOB has long expired. The necessity then becomes finding a replacement … when there is no one much better in any of the other political parties.The quick answer: don’t be foolish enough to give any of THEM a majority, but, do get rid of this megalomaniac before he does more damage. It’s apparent that he is no steward of this nation’s finances. He has been spending money (we don’t have) like one of those madman foils from a James Bond movie.

Billions for airplanes of questionable value. Billions to impress his friends at the G8 and G20 farce that took place in Toronto this summer as he ( Herr Harper) demonstrated his ability to subjugate and abuse Canadians with police forces that slavishly became his “hired guns”... who beat and arrested anyone within arm’s reach ... an extension of the paranoia that dictates many of the political tactics Harper employs.

It's a pity such logistics were not employed in Newfoundland with the same level of zeal for the people in that province who were ravaged by Igor.

Prudence and practicality would suggest that an inventory of relief supplies showing whereabouts, quantity, and contact persons should always be on standby to the Atlantic Commander, and he should be empowered to commandeer them in situations like this, and have them delivered to HMC Docks for immediate deployment … instead of having to wait for Canada’s dictator to micro manage and exploit the situation.

It could be claimed that such action is a knee-jerk reaction …but, is it knee-jerk if you have a fire in a waste paper basket and immediately call for help? After all, it’s just a small fire and should be easily extinguished … but, what if it catches in the curtains? It would be too late then to call the fire department, which could have, on early response, minimized damage.

Regarding troops from Gagetown, the same scenario of pre-established orders should apply, with the general being empowered to load troops and equipment on as many C17s as are available and get them in the air. That’s the least Harper and his clowns can do when one considers what the C-17’s cost the taxpayers of this country.

Certainly, one C-17 to the old US Naval Base at Argentia and one to Gander would have been in order. They should have been airborne on Tuesday at the latest. Instead, Newfoundlanders waited until Chancellor Harper found it convenient for himself to travel to Newfoundland and mug for the cameras … so HE could have positive shots of his CONservative “Team” in action, in preparation for use in his next bid at a majority government.

Herr Harper’s reaction to the plight of Newfoundlanders was colored,too, by the row he had last year with Newfoundland’s Premier Danny Williams, who stood up to him when Harper reneged on the offshore royalties deal. It is well known this guy harbors ( forever) pathological enmity for anyone who disagrees with his pronouncements. Newfoundlanders suffered in the meantime. Fortunately, these Canadians are used to adversity and have a history of resilience and character Stephen Harper will never be able to claim.

It’s speculated that some 1,800 Canadians are involved in hiding money that could net many of them long prison terms. There will be no exceptions says the PMO.

How are they going to proceed when they run into those accounts held by Brian Mulroney and other former politicians, we wonder? All LIBERALS will, by default, be subject to the maximum penalties under Canadian law … without equivocation, negotiation or early parole. We understand that a lot of former politicians are suddenly consuming copious quantities of anti-diarrhetic medicines.

Sure, they pull a magic act and claim that some of the money will come from the Halifax Regional Municipality ( YOUR tax dollars), the Province of Nova Scotia ( YOUR Tax dollars) and the Government of Canada ( SURPRISE ! … YOUR TAX Dollars, again) and some from the ”private developer” who will get most of the expensive things … like the main structure of the building and the heating plant and other mechanicals …ALL paid for with YOUR MONEY! Another blatant example of how: THEY SOCIALIZE THE LOSSES AND PRIVATIZE THE GAINS. Once again in Nova Scotia, somebody is about to profit handsomely as taxpayers get screwed. Then, Darryl Dexter and his well-rehearsed bag man, the glib Graham STEAL will (have to) up your “taxes” … along with HRM … as they maintain their respective cuts … when this thing doesn’t realize the great profits they hyped to sucker YOU into condoning this, their latest FCUK UP. Halifax Mayor Peter Kelly was nonplussed to learn recently that Sue Uteck was instrumental in having the Fall classic college football game played in Moncton this year. The Uteck Bowl is another memorial to the late Larry Uteck … Sue’s husband who is remembered for having successfully coached Saint Mary’s football Huskies to success, and was later a Halifax City alderman. Sue Uteck, who has made no bones about her dislike of Peter Kelly and his mayoring skills, is said to have engineered the move to further discredit and embarrass Kelly, whose job she has set her sights on. God help the taxpayers of HRM if Spendaround Sue ever gets elected to that position.

With this nut job in charge, it looks like "Gotterdammerung" will be the reality for Canada. Oh …. yes, he's building a "lake", too… and dropping a million or two to do it.

It has been announced that Auditor General Sheila Fraser will not be allowed to do individual audits on federal MP expenses. She will, however, be allowed to do a half-assed audit on whether these liars and thieves are being responsible, as a whole, in spending tax payer dollars. And, of course, they WILL be found “responsible”.

Ms Fraser would have been allowed to audit individual MP’s but they haven’t had enough time to hide all of the misappropriations and misapplied/manipulated funds. So this is the “compromise” being offered by all political parties with a stake in the suspected rape of the public purse.

We are advising all Canadians, that, when the next election is called they should “ Stay the fuck home.” … to paraphrase CONservative Senator and national parasite, Nancy Ruth.

If all YOU are is a money pit to supply these arrogant bastards with an unending supply, stay home. Don’t VOTE for any of THEM. AND, certainly, do not support any political party with your time … or any more of YOUR money, over and above what they are stealing from you NOW.

Brig.-Gen. Daniel Ménard has been relieved of command of Canadian troops in Afghanistan following allegations he was involved in an inappropriate personal relationship while in theatre.

Military sources have told CBC News that Ménard, head of Joint Task Force Kandahar, is alleged to have had an affair with a female member of his staff.

The military has strict rules forbidding its personnel from engaging in personal relationships while in theatre. They include relationships of an emotional, romantic or sexual nature.
The Defence Department issued a statement saying only that the decision was made following "allegations concerning Ménard's inappropriate conduct related to the Canadian Forces personal relationships and fraternization directives."

Ménard's spouse also serves in the Forces.

CBC intimates the lurid innuendo, as dictated by the Prime Minister's Office , minus all the good stuff, while mentioning Menard was recently fined $3,500 for the unsafe discharge of his weapon.
It appears the Brig Gen did not learn to control his gun in spite of the hefty fine.

Minister of D’fence, Peter MacKay has let it be known that such behaviours on the part of Canadian troops in theatre are not permitted under his department’s strict rulings as regards the subject of sex in the workplace, as it were, and

MacKay has recommended all ranks must subscribe to the Afghani practice of adopting a pet goat for solace and companionship.

CAN YOU AFFORD KEN FELLS?

Another diversionary debate has been boiling with Carole Olsen and her husband as prime targets for pandering talk show hosts and other idiots who mindlessly castigate them for letting the truth out.

There are both moral and ethical arguments here. Yes, on one hand there was a breach of confidentiality, in this instance, (arbitrarily) imposed by the School Board. Should Olsen be fired because her husband released the video recording? Some might say yes, but, under the circumstances, one would say NO because Fells clearly overstepped his authority, and we (the public) would never have been able to make that determination if this video had continued to be suppressed. This is yet another example of the all too- pervasive secrecy that has crept into governments everywhere in Nova Scotia and this country.

Fells,in his unbridled rage, demonstrates his potential to becoming a future liability to HRM. Because of his obvious lack of self control, he could severely injure the next student he encounters. The headlock he used on this student could easily have gone the other way and caused permanent spinal injury. It doesn’t take much.

I’ve noticed on the CBC and other media sites encouraging comments, there are those who have (skillfully) made every effort to cast aspersions on the male student, his parents and anything else they can come up with to shift focus away from Ken Fells’ vicious method of dealing with this kid. And, at fourteen he’s still a kid …granted, who could turn around and kill Ken Fells and get no more than a five year maximum sentence according to our fcuked up laws.

BUT this kid was no threat to Fells. Ken Fells, on the other hand is (supposedly) an adult who was given a position of trust and authority he cannot handle, as demonstrated in the video. Thankfully, no one ever issued a Tazer to him.

The School Board would do well to get off its collective arse and come up with a policy on cell phones which I believe should be handed in as each class begins, for starters. A dress code is also sorely needed … but this useless organization doesn’t have the gonads to tackle such weighty issues.

Hopefully, this young man is not beyond redemption at this stage in his life … it’s happened before. Fells, on the other hand, with the support of the BLACK EDUCATORS ASSOCIATION who, by their involvement, have made this a reversed racism issue ... consider Fells' actions “ACCEPTABLE” (by default) and above censure, is beyond change.

Courts are usually sympathetic to paralyzed victims in wheel chairs and could award millions of dollars if a civil suit were brought against the Halifax Regional Municipality, the School Board and Ken Fells. Such incidents have far reaching implications in influencing how bond rating agencies look at HRM and the province of Nova Scotia … or, as usual, did anyone in authority consider that?

All actions are inter-related and do carry consequences.

Premiums for liability coverage could go through the roof in such a scenario and increased costs to the municipality/province are passed on to you TAXPAYERS.

Fells is a cannon who should be cut loose … because neither HRM nor this province can afford to indulge him as a liability.
