We salute the students of Quebec for not allowing themselves to be beaten down by Godfather Charest and his bunch of liars and thieves. Without exception, the people of Quebec are not like the gutless sheep in the rest of Canada … who would allow governments, at all levels, to run roughshod over them or put up with any shit some politician wants to chuck at them. HARPER GOVERNMENT’S 1^st. Anniversary, with a majority: It STINKS! Beginning with the foul Oda of one more spendthrift elitist in the person of "Bev"… who helped herself to the lifestyle of a potentate’s whore …. on the backs of  all the people in CANADA who have “taxes “ stolen from them every April so this arrogant cow can show off ... and try to outdo the likes of Pewter MacKay ( bright and shiny like silver, but really just the cheapest of base metals … 99% tin and old pennies) who uses Search And Rescue helicopters as his personal taxi. Oh, yes, Oda paid it back and “apologized” ….. because she got caught, this time.

A government by incompetents …. who know they are incompetent, déclassé louts, …  cloaking themselves in  a curtain of impenetrable secrecy and haughty superiority that distances them from the public they (supposedly) work for, … and the working press who (presumably) makes vain attempts to keep this government honest. Obviously, if no one can see what the hell you’re up to, how can they criticize or determine competency? The unfortunate outcome for Canadians is that when any party gets a majority, the power goes to its head. We have seen this with Liberals in the past and we will continue to see it, if, and until, the people of Canada begin to recognize Harper and his crowd for what they really are. By then, it will be too late as Harper and HIS CONservatives  continue to systematically gut our lifestyle, ecology, and the economy of what once was our country. And when he has done as much damage as he can, he’ll retire to the United States ….to live beside his friend and mentor, Brian Mulroney.

In the meantime, Herr Harper continues his program of tearing down our country … so that, eventually, no Canadian will be able to afford to live here (see: Oda). He has coronated himself “Stephen the First” as he continues to spend us all into oblivion …. making us prime picken’s for his masters in the U.S., who bankrolled and masterminded his theft of our democracy.

Billions pissed away ( while he screws our veterans out of their benefits) on the F-35 … an unproven prototype that has given second thoughts to the brains in Washington who roped us into paying development costs of this unstable technology that the cynical Harper and his boy, Pewter MacKay, will never admit to being wrong on.  “Know it alls” abound in the “Harper Government” ... which is composed entirely ( and exclusively) of geniuses.

More recently, Peter Kent, an ex-news reader on CBC  and aloof elitist, who  is now the “Minister of the Environment” has pronounced that environmental groups who criticize what the Harperites intend for Canadians are simply the manifestations of some charitable groups who are "laundering" foreign funds in Canada as they do so. More than likely, Sir Peter knows that of which he speaks. Certainly, there are those who have often alleged that politicians and their “governments” are past masters at laundering public funds through offshore accounts that become virtually untraceable. Considering that there are elements in Canada’s media who seem to easily transition into the sphere of partisan politics and back into media positions when they are eventually turfed out of office, it may well be true that certain stories, (such as rumors of money laundering) are purposely never fully developed or presented to the public ... because these can never be proven and, no news organization ever wants to risk expensive law suits that would result if they did. In this instance the “rule of law” works against (again) the democratic principles we have all been encouraged to believe. In fact, if one has an infinite supply of money to a buy a battery of lawyers, it’s possible to get away with anything ...election fraud, bribery of candidates, manipulation of campaign funds, consorting with criminals. A cornucopia of crime is yours when you have the unlimited power of a majority fueled by millions of petrodollars from BIG OIL.

It goes without saying that one should not trust any government … and certainly, Herr Harper’s “government” gives every reason not to be trusted now, or ever again.

Unfortunately, in Nova Scotia,  people  have always been easily manipulated into trusting politicians and governments. They still do. The consequence of such (blind) faith culminated in disaster when, on May 9, 1992, twenty six men lost their lives as the result and with the complicity of politicians who were ( and still are) driven by MONEY and greed.

BRIAN MULRONEY,  a piece of shit that periodically floats to the surface as the country slowly goes down the toilet.  Living with his friends in the United States, I believe ... the advance man  for Herr Harper.

ELMER (no Fudd) MacKay, another fourflusher, who ripped the Province of Nova Scotia for millions when taxpayers built roads through some property he owned.... and father to Peter MacKay, today's "Minister of National Defence" who proves daily the old saw that, "the twig doesn't fall far from the tree" as he spends the people's money in a personal program of  self aggrandisement, just like his daddy did. In fact, it was Peter MacKay's sell out of the old Progressive CONservative party that would make it possible for Herr Harper to eventually come to power.

Donald Cameron ... an interim "premier" of Nova Scotia who was given his appointment  by none other than this province's arch liar and thief, John Buchanan, toilet seat czar ... who excused himself just before the shit hit the proverbial fan. Not only are all of the above complicit in the murders of the 26 Nova Scotian miners at WESTRAY but they are (coincidentally) all CONservatives (emphasis on CON) who, to this day, continue to pillage this country with impunity.     

   Donald Cameron, especially, must be remembered by every Nova Scotian today who is faced with escalating costs for their electrical energy. It was this arrogant son of a bitch who gave N.S. Light and Power away, at fire sale prices, to the current owners ... politically connected friends. Yet another example of how public monies are used to pump up the corporate entity, who, not only get to abuse and exploit its captive consumers ... but does it with what once was their owned asset, their power utility … capitalized with their tax dollars.

The “prosecutor” of the criminals whose negligence and scofflaw attitudes toward mine safety were responsible for the deaths of the Westray 26, is, today, a (paid?) mouthpiece for Nova Scotia Power. Lawyer John Merrick, is introduced on the talk show circuit as a ”Consumer Advocate” to unsuspecting Nova Scotians …who believe he represents them in their struggles to pay the usurious rates charged for electricity in this province. The fact is John Merrick’s real job is to soft peddle rate increases to Nova Scotians … employing a collection of “facts” and figures designed to obfuscate, confuse and otherwise lessen any criticisms against the utility or his (political?) friends at the UARB who are always ready to “rubber stamp” and approve rate increases. He is well compensated for making you believe it’s O.K. for N.S. Power to continually pick your pocket.

As for WESTRAY … no prosecutions, nobody was ever JAILED for Murdering 26 men.

Nobody charged.  All tied up in a pretty (CONservative) blue ribbon ... "legal" to be sure. In fact, it's always "legal" ... anyone who doesn't agree will be sued and/or beaten down, until they do, or shut up. 

Why not? Judges were once lawyers. Judges are appointed by “governments” … governments are populated by political friends and are provided to the people by this party or that. 

The principals of these parties are mostly lawyers and the parties are bankrolled by BIG monied oligarchs who command the agenda.  The great myth is then perpetrated and sold to the ordinary  person that it is they ( with their lousy little votes) by whom the ( party provided) “government” is employed and directed.  

The truth is MONEY= POWER=MONEY+ POWER … and so on, and so on.

The whole thing was created to make you think you’re in the driver’s seat … but, increasingly, THEY are showing us the real power behind the throne.

In more recent years since Harper allied his losing Alliance Party of Canada through/with the (lying turncoat) leader of the Progressive Conservative Party, Peter MacKay, to eventually rise to a position of majority in Canada’s Parliament, many commentators have speculated that he might be mentally ill, and that if he wasn’t when he started his rule, the pressures from his inept attempts at governing Canada through the implementation of radical, (some say irrational) if not arbitrary cuts and changes in this country’s infrastructure are desperate acts to mitigate his eradication of the surplus left by the ousted Liberals, and may be driving him mad.

Insiders have intimated Harper is prone to rants and ravings when things don’t go his way and his (fixated) hatred of the Liberal Party and (L)liberals in general is legend. Suprisingly, Harper began his political journey as a Liberal. Apparently,the Liberals must have recognized his megalomania as a liability even in those days. Given this behaviour, coupled with a pathogenic paranoia that demands an impenetrable veil of secrecy from his caucus and bureaucrats alike, it is easy to see why people have come to this conclusion, but, it’s important to state that there is no consensus among his chroniclers that he is insane, or what psychological problems he might have.

Taking incompetency to high levels, Flaherty the Flatulent has made the pronouncements that you gave him carte blanche to do ..... when you allowed Herr Harper to steal your democratic government. Hopefully, you will remember ( Je me souviens) what these scam artists accomplished when the next elction rolls around.

You may recall Flaherty's pronouncements that he was adamant that his budget(s) will wipe out Canada's deficit within three years.
A laudable goal ..... especially when Canadians think back to the time before the CONservatives got in ( the first time) Herr Harper and his collection of spendthrifts and parasites couldn't run through the BILLIONS the Liberals left as a SURPLUS fast enough.

This "Budget" is on par with the "budget" CONservatives, under Borden, brought in back in the 20's before the DEPRESSION. He gave a lot of grief to public employees,too. Lowered their wages and laid many off. They're still taking care of THEMSELVES, however. Herr Harper proves, once again, a lack of originality of ideas.

So, the Liberals ripped us off. Now, this declassé bunch of liars and phonies are doing the same thing, without empathy, ethics, compunction, or control.

How do you arrest and imprison the liars and thieves who already control you?

TALE OF TWO SOLITUDES: 99% AND 1% … SURE



Recent events in Halifax City scream for attention in light of what has happened to those of the 99% who occupied Victoria Park in their protest of the (contrived) injustices perpetrated by the elite who own “our “ governments and proclaim their agendas.

Before I go further, I want you to focus your mind back to the (spending) excesses and centurion tactics that were exercised on the peaceful demonstrators and hapless citizens who got caught up in the Toronto travesties (G 20 rally) presided over by Herr Harper and his fellow dictators from around the world … or, at least those leaders whose histories include controlling much of the world’s economies and pretty much how (if and when) you get your daily bread.

Toronto was the ultimate “tune up” for police forces that provided “security” for that insult to human dignity and the embodiment of a one fingered salute to democracy … as we have perceived it over the past few hundred years.

That event was attended by members of the RCMP and police forces from both sides of the border and everywhere else. WHY?

Because, THEY( the 1%) knew the day was coming when the “little people”, the 99% … would catch on to how they were being exploited and abused by the 1% who own or control the wealth of this planet … and they would be pissed off royally when they realized their vote was a sham exercise … to make them believe they were in control of their “democracy”, which is really a Plutocracy, with benefits. Not as overt as the Chinese model or the old Stalinist or NAZI regimes,but just as dangerous and controlling ... in a more subtle, genteel, "lawful" manner.

Sure, the system "champions" protest, but, it must be done in a genteel manner. Typical of these duplicitous bastards! You must not offend either the ear or the eye , as the Occupiers did at the Grand Parade, or later, when they bought into Mayor Peter Kelly’s ploy about “Rememberance Day” and moved themselves to Victoria Park as a measure of good faith … which Weasel Kelly threw back at them. “Never give a sucker an even break”!

So, the Halifax contingent who attended the G-20 party came home with new skills to teach the rest of HRM’s thugs … who were hardly able to contain themselves for want of using them.

Luckily, the Occupy Movement manifested and on November 11, 2011, Obergruppenführer Kelly gave the orders and his Police Chief Beazely complied by unleashing his dogs … whose orders were to ravish and forever intimidate people who were already beaten down by poverty, homelessness,unemployment … and exploitation by a bunch of selfish, greedy and grasping bastards who call themselves “capitalists” but, are really just smart and smooth talking con artists who, wherever possible, use other people’s money and ideas to propel their lust for more money and power. MONEY=POWER+MONEY=POWER … and so on, ad infinitum. THEY will tell you it is THEIR right … or has everyone forgotten Dave Dingwall’s (Freudian ?) slip?




Read my little treatise on the HRM “police” here ( link to archive) and digest the last two paragraphs of that piece. It appears my prediction has come to fruition.

There are those ultra right, hypocritical phonies who have shilled their asses off calling all of the radio and TV call in shows lately to say how glad they are to see the occupiers “put in their place”. Some of their voices are recognized and known to be part of the elitist group that has profited most from the government graft and “loans” that permeate and proliferate the (dirty) politics in Nova Scotia … regardless of party affiliation.

The best advice I can give to the Occupiers, and, for that matter, anyone else who cares, is : learn and become knowledgeable, don’t get involved in drugs or excessive booze ( there are people who want you kept dumb and dependant … “upstanding” and powerful people who make BIG money from those ), pay attention to the world around you, and, above all, DON’T trust politicians and/or governments … they don’t give a shit about you and will do everything and anything they can to destroy you … if you complain about or shine light on their nefarious, self-serving activities.

I would question that your activities thus far will make much of a difference … immediately. Do NOT give up, and, if you have the courage of your convictions, grow your numbers, certainly. Find something that will generate wealth you can throw in a common pot. Buy land and, like the hippies in the 60’s, form communes and take care of each other. In the meantime, don’t support any existing political party,in any way. The current system is totally broken. It was set up by lawyers ( many of whom inhabit “your” governments) with an eye to favoring friends. YOU, and the others of the 99%, are NOT their friends. Build your own power blocks.

The people in the Mid East got rid of a few of their dictators by not being gentle, genteel or politically correct.

There's an annual contest at Duke University for the most appropriate definition of a contemporary term.

This year's term was, "Political Correctness".

While you’re at it, GOOGLE the Hell’s Angels and find out what the “1%” connotation means as it relates to their organization. The detractors of the “Occupiers” claim they are vague and unfocused as to what they are protesting about. And, based on some TV and radio interviews with vacuous young females who can barely string two words together in a coherent sentence … along with their male counterparts, I can see why there might be that perception. But, then, you must consider that today’s media is owned (controlled) by the 1% who really don't look for the articulate types who can present a positive face and a coherent argument. In fact, most media is owned by the same elite who hobnob with the same politicians they should be dogging for answers or reporting on. Many ex-media people are now in politics ... and when politicians get turfed out on their asses, they walk into jobs on TV and radio. Cozy,eh?

There is a myriad of things the 1% have been getting away with that can only be described as questionable … if not morally reprehensible and unethical. Wall Street (and Bay Street) money manipulators, being bailed out and pandered to by “governments”, in spite of their blatant thefts and total lack of business acumen. Taxpayer’s dollars that are demanded from YOU or literally stolen, are given to these criminals … who then reward themselves with obscene “bonuses” as governments allow infrastructure to go to hell.

In Nova Scotia, cutbacks in education and closure of hospital emergency rooms are the tip of the iceberg as your tax dollars are re-appropriated in the form of “loans” and “grants” to friends and contributors.

How many golf courses have been built with your taxes? You’ll never know, nor are you ever likely to play on them. Billions of tax dollars pumped into the former Nova Scotia Power before it was sold for pennies on the dollar as a “white elephant” to political friends … who were not long in holding us all to ransom as they demand more and bigger profits, while taking big salaries and bonuses.

You should be bloody good and mad, but you continually put up with this bullshit. Who do many of you get mad at? The young and the old(er) people who have the collective “balls” to make the protest … on YOUR behalf … because you wouldn’t say “shit” if you had a mouth full ? You think you have too much to lose. Maybe you do … and you have … to the liars and thieves who steal your taxes and give to their friends. That’s why THEY are part of the 1% while the rest of us are in that other, declining majority. These “occupiers” are protesting all of this bullshit, and then some. So cut them some slack.

If you don’t agree with anything I’ve said so far, you’re probably part of that 1% … or would like to be.

In the interest of fairness, here’s a tale about how the 1 percenters get there (theirs). For illustrative purposes only, I will use an example that is currently in the news… because of a fire over the weekend that destroyed the current viability of White Point Beach Lodge. According to CBC news, it is reported that 150 (of the 99%) will be unemployed as a result of that fire. CBC went on to report that an interview with the principals of the company that owns the Lodge stated they “intend to rebuild”, but were indefinite as to when White Point Lodge would reopen. At the time that story was filed, fire investigators had not yet had a chance to determine the cause … some three days after the event. We know of other fires where investigators were in attendance an hour after the fire was put out and the embers still warm to the touch. Why the hold up?

Considering that N.S. Premier, Darrel Dexter announced that WE, the people of Nova Scotia had “loaned” ONE MILLION dollars in June of this year to White Point Beach Lodge, for the upgrading of its facilities, one would hope there might be a great rush to get up and running as soon as possible. The company, being run by (presumably) prudent and canny businessmen, must have had Business Interruption coverage on their insurance policy … in addition to the usual property and liability covers, I’m sure. Well, maybe the business interruption cover was not a concern to the owners. Surely, the people who “loaned” OUR tax dollars would have made that a requirement? And, how well secured were the peoples’ interests in this deal? Were insurance proceeds assigned to the Province of Nova Scotia? Will we ever get our money back?

Don’t hold your breath.

If Andy Rooney were still alive, I’ll bet he would have a few more questions. Like, why is the Province of Nova Scotia playing banker here? A viable, profitable business should qualify for a line of credit from a BANK, should it not?

Could it be that this very destructive fire came at an opportune time … when tourism to this province is on the decline … because of a shrinking economy in the United States, high gas prices and a poor economic outlook in general. Could it be that White Point is holding out until the big, Thirty five BILLION dollar shipbuilding pipe dream materializes for Nova Scotia?

Did the people who “loaned” our money actually pay any attention to White Point’s liability and profit/loss statements over the previous fourty eight months before making the loan decision?

Should these not be the all important questions … when you consider Dexter’s “government” has increased your taxes since taking office? How about the cuts to health and education Dexter and Graham Steal are putting in place to “cut the deficit”?

In Nova Scotia, the deficit has GROWN to 13 BILLION DOLLARS and it sure as hell wasn’t the 99% who directed ( or profited from) that growth.

Or, could it be that … because Robert Risley is one of the principals in the company who owns White Point Beach Lodge is a “favored son”, he automatically qualifies ?

Hmmm…. It’s gotta be that RISLEY name that did it, for sure.

Nova Scotians have made “loans” in the MILLIONS and BILLIONS to the Risley family over the years… while we taxpayers don’t even get kissed, for having put up with lousy roads, high taxes and P3 Schools as we all sacrificed to put Robert and John ( Clearwater, Ocean, etc.) Risley into the 1% club.

All because Risley’s father was well connected politically, in the Progressive(?) CONservative party. The bigger question is: How many more Risley’s are there, and have we not given them enough money already? When does the dynasty end?

There are others too. The Bragg family. Call centers and “manufacturing” enterprises that all went tits up, mysteriously, after receiving thousands and/or MILLIONS of your tax dollars. The biggest lie is when these people are referred to as “entrepreneurs”, an absolute misnomer when compared against the definition in a dictionary: “Someone who organizes a business venture and assumes the risk for it.” In Nova Scotia, taxpayers are responsible, invariably, when and if, these businesses go tits up.

Socialize the risks and Privatize the Profits

Many of these “loans” are barely secured by the people who get them, with (well hidden) kickbacks to the lenders, of course.

The old arguments that these “loans” of taxpayer’s money is necessary because they provide “jobs, jobs, jobs” doesn’t hold under close scrutiny … and THEY don’t like the close scrutiny that is engendered by people living in tents in public spaces … who might cause anyone to actually THINK … and question as to why people would put themselves up to be ridiculed, and abused by paid thugs (police) who support a system that further picks their pockets,(legally of course), for the (dubious) privilege.

The 99% , in Nova Scotia have every good reason to protest … and so should you.

CHINESE JUNK ... & OTHER CANADIAN FLOTSAM & JETSAM

I have made the great EUREKA, according to an interview on TV, the Governor of the Bank of Canada is the top son-of-a-bitch who is encouraging investment in China. He says that investment in China is preferable over the US because the interest is better.

I don’t pretend to understand things financial or international trade, except that investment in China means that our manufacturing industries are closing here at home.

Everything you look at is made in China or somewhere else in the Far East, or Mexico. Three-quarters of working age Canadians are either working for minimum wage at a tentative job, or on welfare.

The tentative jobs are flipping burgers in fast food joints or working in a call center, the latter of which is on the most shaky ground when government subsidies run out and are not renewed.

No goddamned wonder people can’t get married, have kids, buy a house, or buy a car. They may lose their menial job next week. There is no certainty and no continuity.

Our society is a vicious circle.

Scenario: A Canadian company has made ‘widgets’ for several decades and their produce is top notch and actively sought after. Company profits are good.

Enter the union which decides that the workforce will strike unless they get unwarranted pay and benefit raises. Of course, the union bosses don’t give a shit about the workforce but it is a chance to threaten the company and justify a raise in their own salary.

Most of this workforce is quite satisfied with their conditions of pay and benefits. Many have worked there for twenty or thirty years and have roots in the community, pensions accumulated, and mortgages which up to now, have been easy to handle because the job was solid. There was certainty and continuity.

The company has binding commitments for their product and has to yield to the union demands. Now the company profit margin is cut but the shareholders are demanding that their investments be protected so the company has to raise prices.

The company may survive one such action but the consumers are getting antsy about this price escalation.

A few short years pass and the cycle is repeated. Stockholders still demand a high return on their investment so widgets go up in price again and the company is forced to cut back on quality and finish.

The sales fall off because customers are seeking a new source.

About this time, scouts from China have seen the potential and their factories start turning out a second rate widget.

The company comes to a point where they have to cut back to survive and layoffs result, jobs are lost, pensions are reduced or lost, and forty percent of the workforce can no longer cover their mortgages and maintain their lifestyle.

Now, enter the consumer, you and me. We have all suffered restrictions in our disposable income and we have anxiously watched the escalation of the cost of widgets. China has pursued its production and have gained market share in Canada, mostly through the big box stores.

One day, at WALLY WORLD, we notice a widget (probably by another name) that is thirty percent cheaper than the domestic model. Because we are limited in our funds, we justify not supporting the Canadian industry, and we latch onto the Asian knockoff, knowing full well that it probably sub-standard, but hell, it IS cheaper.

After a time, all of the widget manufacturers in Canada fall victim to this short sightedness on the part of government for allowing it and of ourselves for not recognizing the damage we are doing to our own economy.

Now, widgets are no longer ‘Made in Canada’, so the Chinese can lower their already abysmal standards and sell to a captive market. They can make the huge profits because of having abundant serf labour and our Bank of Canada Governor can justify to Canadians why they should invest in China.

We, the consumers, are all guilty, I know that I am, but I am changing and saying to hell with the fact that Asian products are cheaper. I try to look for Canadian or American made products.

I am adamant when it comes to foodstuffs. My wife bought a jar of dill pickles made in India. They were cheap, yes, but I refuse to eat them and they will rot on the shelf. I simply do not trust Chinese or other Asian food neither in its preparation or its source.

It is difficult to find many "Canadian made" products because the manufacturers have all been put out of business ... or, moved offshore themselves. For example, I tried recently at Home Hardware, to find a pair of Canadian made work gloves. Every pair they carried were made in China.

The situation is getting absolutely grim. I hope we never have to go to war with a friend of China because they would cut off our supply of arms and ammunition. CIL used to make the best ammunition in the world. It was consistent, accurate, and powerful and now ... they don’t make the desired ‘Imperial’ brand anymore. I have spoken to many American hunters who told me that they never brought ammunition when they came to Canada because they preferred the ‘Imperial’ which was a product of Canadian Industries Limited.

Why do we have assholes running off to the Orient trying to ‘Improve’ trade relations? They can’t seem to build ships large enough to bring their trash to North America. I watched a TV show about a huge container carrier and her maiden voyage with thousands of containers for North America and on her return voyage she carried mostly empty containers.

The 35 BILLION shipbuilding contract is coming to Halifax Shipyards but, as good as it is, there is some "fine print". These ships will be assembled from components because, as the man said, “That is the way ships are built nowadays”. They readily admit that sub-contracts for these components will be let all across Canada. So, you can see that a good portion of the 35 B will go to Quebec and Ontario, and to the transportation companies who will be bringing the sections to be glued together in Halifax Shipyards, by sea and by rail.

It is wonderful thing to see Nova Scotia get all this work because I think we are master shipbuilders. I would like to see them build using more traditional methods but if components is the only way to go ... then make them ... in Nova Scotia.

Now, thinking in the extreme, how would you feel about the components being made in China just because they would be cheaper? Don’t be too surprised if that happens. The dumbassed Canadian Government might use this approach to, ‘improve’ trade relations.

I think we must demand of our governments, both Provincial and Federal, to stop the systematic destruction of Canadian manufacturing and in fact reverse it. It would be expensive and it would mean broken agreements, and it may tend to lead to isolation for a while but we could come back. We could come back to the quantity and high quality of goods that we produced during and for a time after WW2.

For this to happen it would need for the blinders to be taken off the politicians and civil servants, and it would need for unions to be controlled.

We need Canada back.

JACK LAYTON HAS LEFT THE BUILDING

Jack Layton will be missed in his role of Canada’s Jiminy Cricket to Herr Harper and his Mob of miscreants. A gentle soul who loved to make music … but not without the political acumen to bring the NDP from being a backwater party to a position of power as the official Opposition. Of course other historical events contributed to the NDP’s rise in stature ,so it’s not always totally attributable to “leadership” alone. It helps a lot when the other guys become too complacement and forget to cover the tracks of their crooked dealings and elitist attitudes that turn voters off.

After Harper displays what little empathy he possesses to the public over Jack Layton’s loss, it will be politics as usual for the Iceman … who surely must be salivating over the new political opportunities the leaderless New Democratic Party will open for him in Quebec.

Give it a little time for everyone to distance themselves from the event of Jack’s demise and you can bet there will be a reemergence of the Bloc as the moles in the Quebec wing of the NDP get their bearings and assert their old demands on the (compliant) interim leader and ex Bloc member. Without stalwart Layton’s leadership, it’s only a matter of time before the (ex ?) Bloc members of the NDP rear their heads and display their true allegiances to a sovereigntist Quebec.Once a Blochead, always a Blochead.

This has all the potential of the end of the NDP as we know it and it plays right into Herr Harper’s hands.

Let me get this straight, millions were spent, by potential immigrants, into a fund that was supposed to place them in their field of expertise. This is already a weird beginning to the plot.

The plan failed ... and now, the immigrants who put out over a hundred thousand each are demanding their money back. I think they intend a class action suit.

Some mental midget says they will be paid out of some pot of gold but not out of public money. BULLSHIT! All money is public money ... and, I will bet you that the fund money is gone anyway. There are deep pockets for multi-millions of dollars and it would not just lay around while the bureaucracy has access to it.

HOW ABOUT THE SCAM ARTISTS THAT COOKED THIS PLAN UP? .... You can bet they helped themselves ... it's been proven in the past they always do ... especially with large amounts of (unaccountable) $$$.

FOLLOW THE MONEY!

My next wager is that the TAXPAYER will pay those thirty or forty millions.

The second issue on my mind is the Sydney tar ponds matter. Companies and their hierarchy took home BILLIONS over the life of the Sydney Steel operation. All the time, they were amassing a vast pool of toxic waste with no idea or plan to neutralize or dispose of it.

Now, all those companies and hierarchy have vanished with the billions, and a group is launching a class action suit to get reparations for perceived hardship and illness caused by the toxic waste.

There is no doubt that they will win and there is no doubt the taxpayer will pay, again. Who else? The government is not going after their billionaire friends for recovery.

The third issue is the ongoing struggle over the Aboriginal Schools matter. Someone needs to explain to me how several mainline churches could receive millions from the government (our money) to establish these schools and then wash their hands after it has been proven that the institutions were basically illegal and rife with bizarre punishments ... populated with staff who were largely immoral and only too eager to promote and perpetrate rampant sexual abuse on innocents.

The government will never go after these churches, which obviously defaulted on their obligations ... So, guess who pays? The TAXPAYER! Abused once again and really without recourse ... until WE stop being gullible and believing every politician, from every party ... who comes along feeding us all a bunch of bullshit schemes THEY designed to make them and their party look good. In Nova Scotia, we’ve had them all and found out there isn’t one you could trust with your life. LIARS and THIEVES! In the Canadian nation pretty much the same conclusions have been met but people continue to deny the realities and buy the BULLSHIT ... and then wonder why their kids can’t read or write as they drive on shitty highways ... made unsafe by tractor trailers that forced out our railways ...today, driving up the cost of the goods we need to sustain life.

Our Canadian Constitution ain’t worth shit as long as there are sleazy, lying politicians in governments that are protected by a phalanx of high paid lawyers ( YOU pay for them, too) and (government appointed) “judges” who contribute to stacking the deck against any citizen who complains against a system catering to an elite that always expects the rest of us should pay the bills THEY incur.

The best idea I’ve seen, came from a friend recently ... after he saw this in one of those e-mails making the rounds.

We should amend the Canadian Charter.

The very first and only Article should read as follows. Toss the rest of the Charter. Send this to your buddy in the US and suggest considering following suit!

The Government of Canada should at all times listen to the public and do what they are told ...in all other cases the Government of Canada should go fuck themselves.

There has to be an end to this bullshit because what is to stop some Aboriginal in fifty years time, suing the government because his great-great-grand daddy was abused at a residential school in 1930. The proof of the last statement is the fact that they are using weak kneed(compliant) Supreme Court judges to re-interpret 300 year old treaties, always in their favor.

Meanwhile, gasoline prices continue to soar as they take the cost of food and all things that must travel by truck or ship up to the heights with them.

In the United States, the people of that country have no choice as they contend with massive unemployment and underemployment while trying to survive in a society that has sullied capitalism with unbridled greed, driven by a paucity of morality and ethics as it goes about its business.

Simple minded Americans believe their President to be descended from the heavens and possessing powers beyond that of any mortal man, invariably blame him when things don’t go well in their country.

Such is/was the case with Barack Obama who has been plummeting in the polls and under pressure from Republican extremists to prove his birthright as he heads into a re-election campaign for 2012. Granted, when one looks at who his detractors are … and the level of intelligence exhibited by the likes of Sarah Palin,Glenn Beck, Rush Limppaw and the over-hyped Donald Trump ( just ask him, he’ll tell ya how great he is) … it’s a stretch to afford them credibility, but there is a large element of the American public who are impressed by such “minds” so the Obama machine is covering its collective ass.

So, how fortuitous that Washington is able to trumpet the death of Osama bin Laden, the leader and arch “terrorist” behind Al Qaida. Yessss!!!

Murrica has triumphed over the elusive bin Laden, tracked him to his lair and dispatched him with a bullet(s) to his brain. And, not wishing to give his Muslim terrorist followers a body to elevate to martyrdom, those canny Murricans gave Osama a burial at sea … the ultimate ablution.

Good news for a change ... a brief respite while new "terrorists" are scripted.

And of course, immediately, throngs were able to organize and hit the streets with wild abandon as they celebrated the death of the man upon which all of the blame for “9!!” has been focused .

Isn’t that GREAT? But, can YOU trust THEM?

UPDATE: Surprise, Surprise ... now the details of "Wag The Dog II" are changing as the White House fends off those who have begun to ask cogent questions ... as well they should. It's funny, if not pitiable, to think the American people can be so easily taken in by such unadulterated BULLSHIT. But, then, all you have to do is listen to the anchors of the American TV network news shows as they melodramatically over hype this (rip and read) story that came to them. The icing on the cake is the slop being pumped out by the tabloids like "Inside Edition" and "Access Hollywood". As Bugs Bunny once said,"What (bunch) of maroons." I am reminded of Hitler's propaganda minister, Joseph Goebbels who more or less revealed his philosophy when he said, in so many words, that if you make the lie big enough, people are more likely to believe it. In the United States, apparently anything can fly ... especially when the populace desperately wants to believe this drivel. A sad commentary as Rome descends to the depths.
